2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Boasts 662 Horsepower

2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Boasts 662 Horsepower

The eagerly anticipated 2013 Shelby GT500 does not disappoint. With big stats such as 662 horsepower and 631 lb-ft of torque, the GT500 has 5.8 liter supercharged V-8 six-speed manual transmission that can do 0-60 mph in a mere 3.5 seconds! It is also stated to produce a top speed of more than 200 mph.

To adjust for the new speed and muscle, the grill on the GT500 was replaced with two large intakes as well as gills mounted near the cowl to work to extract heat from the engine bay. Standard HID halo headlights with LED bars, as well as triple taillights round out the exterior’s new, graceful design.

The 2013 Shelby GT500 starts at $54,995. For those looking for something even more unique, the Henry Ford Health System will auction a one-of-a-kind GT500 at their “Get Your Heart Racing” fundraiser at the Dearborn test track in September. Ford designer Melvin Betancourt designed the car as a thank-you to the Henry Ford Hospital after being a patient. Last year’s Boss 302 auction raised $300,000. How Classic Car Insurance Can Save You Money

Although insurance may mean another expense, it is essential to have your vintage car covered. It is a high-value investment; without the proper protection, you could suffer great losses and pay a ridiculous amount of money even for minor dents, scratches, and health check-ups if you get into a road accident.

If you don't have insurance for your car yet, you have to know that classic car insurance has lower premium rates than the standard auto insurance. This is because most vintage cars usually have limited use. They are often used for parade and show purposes only. If you are thinking of a way to save even more on your insurance payments, you can follow some personal risk management techniques. These involve assessing different on road and off road situations that can place you and your car in danger and enumerating preventive measures for these situations. An example is avoiding indiscriminate parking, especially in unfamiliar places or areas with no safe parking space. Another is to avoid drunk driving and sticking to the speed limit. You should also follow the agreed mileage given by your insurance provider. When you follow these simple steps and let your insurance provider know that you are doing something to keep your car away from accidents, chances are you’ll be getting lower premiums.

Secure Your Collectible Cars with Agreed Value Car Insurance

Collectible cars are rare possessions you have to take care of them correctly. Without proper protection from damages, you may end up regretting passing up the opportunity of getting the right auto insurance for your vintage vehicles. Most of collectible car owners get standard auto insurance thinking that the benefits they get from this kind of insurance is enough for their needs.

Insurance premiums aren't cheap. Even the most affordable specialty car insurance you'd find would amount to a few hundred dollars. You may think you are saving money on standard auto insurance but you're not. Actual cash value policies commonly used by standard auto insurance company shouldn't apply to you. If you have this kind of policy, you'll get very little from your insurance company if in case you need to make a claim. Vintage vehicle insurance is an agreed value insurance policy where the amount you and the classic car insurance company agreed upon signing your contract will remain the same all throughout the validity of your contract. If your car gets damaged and you need to make a complete claim from your insurance company, you'd get the full amount you've agreed on.

Agreed value car insurance is a fair insurance policy for owners of collectible cars like you. With an agreed value insurance, it doesn't matter how old your car is. The value of your car will not depreciate, unlike in an actual cash value policy where the value depreciates through time. Make the right choice and get you free classic car insurance quotation today.
