Are You Looking For Trans Am Insurance?
The Trans Am is an iconic piece of muscle car history. After Pontiac watches the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro enter into the pony car market in the late 1960’s, the car manufacturer introduces the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. The first model uses the same fenders, doors and rear fenders as the Camaro, although Pontiac differentiates the Trans Am with a split front grille, beaked hood and GTO-slotted taillights.
The biggest factor setting the Pontiac Trans Am apart is under the hood. During its initial release in 1967, fans could choose from five different engine choices, including a 230-cubic-inch OHC six-cylinder engine with a single 1bbl carburetor to a 400 V8 borrowed from the GTO. While all the V8’s come with a standard heavy-duty three-speed manual transmission at the time, a four-speed manual and a two and three-speed automatic transmission are optional.
Why You Really Know (and Love) the Trans AmThe Trans Am surely has taken the breath away from many-a-collector over the years, but let’s just admit that when you hear the name “Trans Am,” you picture actors Burt Reynolds behind the wheel with Sally Field beside him, kicking up dirt with a Screaming Chicken decal on an all-black hood. The hugely popular movie, Smokey and the Bandit solidifies the Trans Am as a powerful piece of machinery, defining Pontiac’s best-known performance car in millions of fans’ minds. Pontiac even immortalizes the mystique by releasing the Bandit Trans Am. (Incidentally, if you happen to own a Bandit or another movie star, we’re experienced with tailoring a policy for your famous car, too!)
Flexible Plans and Rollover MilesChoose from one of our three mileage plans -1,000, 3,000, or 6,000 miles- to tailor your Trans Am insurance policy to your needs. For example, say you plan to smuggle some Coors east of the Mississippi like Bandit, but the plans never come together. No problem – Classic Auto Insurance offers rollover miles from one year’s policy to the next. We understand plans change and we don’t feel you should lose miles just because you didn’t use them.
Customized Policies to Fit Your NeedsWhen you own a muscle car with the movie star looks of a Trans Am, you want to protect it. At Classic Auto Insurance, we get that and can help you find the perfect policy. We offer customizable policies that are not just one size fits all. Our customizable Trans Am Insurance plans are tailored to each individual customer and vehicle to fit your needs.
Agreed Value Not Stated ValueAt Classic Auto Insurance, we offer you Agreed Value coverage on your Trans Am. Unlike other insurance companies who want to tell you what your car is worth, we will work with you to determine the real value of your car and write a policy based on that price. What does this mean, exactly? In the event your Trans Am is totaled in a covered loss, you will receive the exact agreed-upon value on your policy minus your deductible.
Classic Auto Insurance – Affordable Rates for Your Peace of MindIn addition to Agreed Value, our “Inflation Guard” provides an automatic increase in Vehicle Coverage every quarter, throughout the policy term, so you don’t have to worry your Trans Am may be underinsured. This is just another way we offer peace of mind to Classic Auto customers.
Trans Am Roadside Assistance – Call AnytimeThe Trans Am is a tough vehicle – but that doesn’t mean you will never find yourself broken down on the side of the road. There’s no need to worry.
