1963 Ferrari1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso

Next on our sold list is a stunning 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso, purchased for just over $1.4 million. First introduced at the 1962 Paris Motor Show, this piece of automotive history balanced sport and luxury with its 2,400mm-wheelbase tube-frame chassis and featured Scaglietti-built steel bodywork with aluminum opening panels. This specific Ferrari vehicle was the 32nd of just 350 of its kind manufactured.

After time with its original owner in Italy, this striking car arrived in the US in the 1980s and was fitted with a 3.3-liter Colombo V12 from a 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB and received additional refurbishments over time. In 2000, the classic beauty was purchased by its most recent owner and underwent a lengthy refurbishment period from the early 2000s to 2014. This overhaul included a rebuild of the 3.3-liter V12 engine, triple Weber 40 DCZ6 carburetors, four-speed manual transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, and suspension, as well as a paint correction, a re-trim of the interior in tan leather, and a refresh of the 15” Borrani wire wheels.

Today, this 1963 Ferrari is finished in sleek, black paint with gorgeous re-plating of the chrome brightwork details. Four refurbished 15” Bonarri wire wheels wrapped in Pirelli Cinturato CA-67 tires adorn each corner of this vehicle. Inside the Ferrari’s cabin, you’ll find beautiful detailing in the re-trimmed tan leather seats, center console, and door paneling, as well as authentic wood-rimmed steering wheel, roll-up windows, and Pininfarina ashtray.

The timeless design of the 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso is reflected in every aspect of the time and care that went into the structural, interior, and exterior refurbishment efforts.
