We are proud to be friends with the increasingly popular Volo Auto Museum in Volo, IL, and we want to share with you some of the fabulous cars they will be featuring as attractions in their collection!
This month, Volo is playing host to the 1982 Land Rover that was used on screen in Fast & Furious 7. The Land Rover was put through the ringer in the film. Used as a stunt car, it was “scorched and charred’ to make it look as though it had been through an explosion. While this car may not be as shiny as other ones the museum has had in the past (including the green Mitsubishi Eclipse, the Dodge Charger R/T, the Yenko Camaro, the Hemi Dodge Challenger, and the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 – all from the film series), this one certainly has a good story to accompany it. Volo is also still hosting the Vin Diesel and Paul Walker driven Dodge Charger from Fast & Furious (the 4th movie in the series).
The Land Rover will be shown at the museum, along with a tribute to the late Paul Walker, star of the Fast & Furious films. Next to this exhibit is another tribute to the late Heath Ledger, who played the Joker in The Dark Knight, displaying the tractor trailer that was used in several scenes in that film.
