Ferruccio Lamborghini was born in 1916, and was a savvy business man even from his early years. By the time he officially founded Lamborghini in 1962, he was extremely wealthy and started the company out of his own surplus. He owned a tractor factory and multiple other businesses that contributed to his affluence, and Lamborghini was the cherry on top of a life full of successful ventures.
The first model of Lamborghini was released in 1962, with a V12 engine (designed and built by Giotto Bizzarrini), and a body designed by up-and-coming engineers, Giampaolo Dallara and Giampaolo Stazani. With just a short time for initial production (in an effort to present at the 1963 Turin Auto Show) the first model of the Lamborghini, the 350 GTV was a work of art that is still praised for its originality, its luxury and its design.
Two of the most successful models of the Lamborghini have been the Aventador and the Veneno. These two models are on the opposite ends of the spectrum for what Lamborghini has to offer, but they are both billboards of luxury, speed, power and groundbreaking engineering.
