Maserati’s 100th to Highlight at Pebble Beach

Classic car fans across the world anticipate the Pebble Beach weekend each year, and each year the event highlights one special car at its <a href=”http://www.mazdaraceway.com/rolex-monterey-motorsports-reunion”>Monterey Motorsports Reunion</a>, located at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.<br />

In previous years, cars like the Corvette, the Shelby, and the Jaguar have been the headliners at Monterey, but this year is a special year for what is arguably one of the most celebrated and honor-worthy cars of all time. The marque this year goes to the Maserati in honor of their <a href=”http://www.autoblog.com/2013/12/15/maserati-100th-anniversary-monterey-motorsports/”>100th anniversary</a>. However, the highlighted model will not be just &ldquo;any&rdquo; Maserati. The highlighted car will be the Maserati 250F (No. 4) which is arguably one of the most famous racing cars of all time, historically piloted by Fangio and Moss in 1954.<br />

This model has won the Indianapolis 500, the Formula One World Championship, the FIA GT1 World Championship, and more.<br />

Besides the 250F, the <a href=”http://www.maserati100.com/8cm.html”>most notable Maserati</a> model is the 8cm, with a 2,991.4 cubic cm straight eight engine, with 240 HP and 5,800 RPM. The Tazio Nuvolari was the &ldquo;roadster&rdquo; version of the 8cm, and won the Belgium Grand Prix as its racing debut.<br />
