chevrolet corvette1956 Chevrolet Corvette

The first unit on our tour is a remarkable 1956 Chevrolet Corvette. A previous owner had this luxurious dream refurbished and painted in its current shade of red. Plus, the car underwent additional preparation for its auction sale including an oil change and a new battery. These preparations didn’t go unnoticed as the car sold for an impressive $61,956.

The classic Corvette’s attractive red exterior complements its cabin’s red vinyl upholstery and matching door panels and carpet. The cabin also includes a push-button AM radio, power windows, a heater, a clock, a dash-mounted rear-view mirror, and a three-spoke steering wheel.

Its interior also sports center-mounted instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, ammeter, and gauges for its coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The vehicle’s five-digit odometer reveals 2,600 miles of usage, but the previous owner is unaware of its total mileage.

The car’s powertrain boasts a 265 cu in V8 with dual Carter four-barrel carburetors, finned Corvette-script valve covers, and a polished ignition cover and air cleaner lids. The Corvette’s engine delivers power to its rear wheels through its Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission.

Additionally, the vehicle sports impressive exterior equipment like its body-color removable top, white coves, dual integrated exhaust outlets, bumperettes, chrome grille, left-side mirror, and wraparound windshield. It also comes with non-functioning windshield wipers and a power-operated soft top.

aston martin1976 Aston Martin V8 Series III

The next item on our tour is a sleek and unforgettable 1976 Aston Martin V8 Series III. This unit is one of 970 Series IIIs that Aston Martin manufactured in Newport Pagnell between the years 1973 and 1978. Aston Martin initially sold this unit in California in 1976 and this gem recently sold at auction for a remarkable $151,000.

The car underwent much work through the years, including electrical works and a replaced heating valve, and in 2019, the car’s previous owner had its alternator replaced and its distributor cap cleaned. Plus, they replaced the car’s battery.

This grand tourer features a Tadek Marek-designed 5.3-liter V8 with four downdraft Weber carburetors and dual overhead camshafts, and its factory rating was 310 horsepower as well as 320 foot-pounds of torque. The engine sends its power to its rear wheels through a Chrysler Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission.

The car’s exterior boasts a hood scoop, a rear spoiler, fender vents, polished trim, and chrome bumpers with overriders. It also comes with 15” GKN alloy wheels with 215/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, speed-sensitive power steering, and four-wheel disc brakes.

The Aston Martin’s eye-catching blue finish matches its blue leather upholstered seats and Onslow Blue carpets. Its interior also features a heater, a fire extinguisher, power windows, door locks, a dash-mounted VDO clock, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Its instrumentation includes a 200-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for its amperage, oil pressure, oil temperature, and water temperature. Finally, it comes with a five-digit odometer that reads 58,000 miles.

austin a401954 Austin A40 Pickup

This aged beauty features a new two-tone blue finish that looks great over its brown-cloth-upholstered interior. The previous owner refinished the truck in light blue along with dark blue fenders, and its body showcases Austin logos on the bedsides.

The 1954 Austin A40 Pickup exterior features a left-side mirror, a black rear bumper, a polished fuel filler, and a chrome front bumper. The truck’s tailgate and outer bed panels are aluminum alloy, and it features a plywood cargo floor secured by steel runners.

The truck displays body-color 17” steel wheels with chrome hubcaps mounted with 5.25×5.50” tires, and it also features four-wheel drum brakes. A 1.2-L inline-four engine energizes this vehicle, sending power to its rear wheels through its four-speed manual transmission with a column-mounted shifter.

Inside the vehicle, you can see its straightforward yet stylish cabin with a bench seat trimmed in brown cloth along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Its interior also comes with a heater and storage compartments along its dashboard.

The truck’s cabin features a banjo-style steering wheel and an instrument panel with a Smiths 70-mph speedometer, inset fuel gauge, and a five-digit odometer. The new owner got a steal, securing this piece of automotive history for $13,250.

mercury comet1963 Mercury Comet S-22 Convertible

This classy 1963 Mercury Comet S-22 convertible underwent important updates under previous ownership, including new paint, bodywork, and an engine. Its new paint is peacock turquoise, matching the interior vinyl upholstery. Plus, it comes with a power-operated white soft top that perfectly complements its eye-catching body.

The car’s exterior also displays chrome bumpers, fender skirts, fender-mounted mirrors, and tinted windows. It dazzles with turquoise-finished 13” steel wheels with Mercury-branded covers mounted on 185/80 Maxxis MA-1 thin whitewall tires. It also features power-assisted brakes with dual-circuit hydraulics.

The convertible comes equipped with a 260 cu in V8 with a two-barrel carburetor, finned aluminum valve covers, and an electronic ignition system. The engine sends its power to its rear wheels through a Merc-O-Matic two-speed automatic transmission.

The car’s interior features turquoise-vinyl-upholstered front bucket seats and a rear bench seat, matching its door panels and carpets. The cabin also comes with Pioneer speakers, a retro-style digital media receiver, a Grant steering wheel, and a bright metal trim along its dash, doors, and center console. These intricate details helped bring in $23,500 at the auction.

Finally, the cabin houses helpful instrumentation like its Sunpro 8k-rpm tachometer, AutoMeter fluid temperature gauge, 100-mph speedometer, and a five-digit odometer.

Pontiac GTO1970 Pontiac GTO Judge Ram Air IV

Last on our tour is a powerhouse 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge Ram Air IV with a 400 cu in Ram Air IV V8 that’s factory-rated at 370 horsepower. This monster Ram Air IV engine sends its power to its rear wheels through its three-speed manual transmission and played a large part in the $92,000 sale price.

The car also features dual Ram Air hood scoops, quad exhaust outlets, power-assisted front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, and Hotchkis tuned shocks and sway bars. Plus, its 15” Rally II wheels are covered in BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires, and the unit comes with a full-size spare in the trunk.

A previous owner repainted the Pontiac’s body in Cardinal Red, which was also the car’s original factory color along with a Polar White top. The owner also repainted the car’s underside black.

The vehicle’s exterior matches its stunning, red-vinyl-upholstered door panels, front bucket seats, and rear bench seat. Additionally, it features a color-coordinated dashboard as well as red carpets. The cabin also comes with Pontiac-branded rubber mats, a center console with an armrest and storage compartment, a woodgrain dashboard trim, and an AM radio with an eight-track cassette player.

The Pontiac’s impressive cabin also boasts a three-spoke steering wheel that frames its 140-speedometer, analog clock, odometer, and various gauges.
