At the show, the car was driven on stage by Bill Ford, the great-grandson to the founder of the Ford Auto Company, Henry Ford, and the company’s executive chairman.
The first Mustang was revealed in 1964 at the World’s Fair, also in New York at that time, so it is appropriate that the release of this 50th anniversary car would be held in New York City.
