The site features a wide range of models from the early 20th century to the present, but we wanted to highlight five vintage models from the 60s, 70s, and 80s that we think are worth noting. These include a 1976 Ford Bronco, a 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, a 1969 Tatra, a 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint, and a 1988 Mercedes-Benz.
Coyote-Powered 1976 Ford Bronco
The first car on our tour is a stunning blue Coyote-Powered 1976 Ford Bronco. Sold at the auction for $97,000, this vehicle, with its rugged, boxy style, is a classic Ford enthusiast’s dream.
The vehicle was originally acquired over twenty years ago by the seller before undergoing a multi-year refurbishment, which was recently completed in 2022. Some of the updated features include a white vinyl interior, new door hinges and bumpers, and dazzling Cobalt blue paint.
Exterior features on this 1976 Ford Bronco model worth noting include a white Bimini top, a six-point roll cage, and a Skyjacker 2” suspension lift. The white-painted 17” steel wheels also wear Ford-branded hubcaps and sport 285/70 BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires.
The interior carbon of this beauty features reupholstered front bucket seats and a rear bench, new carpeting, a dashboard pad, and an aftermarket multimedia stereo system which was installed with rear speakers positioned below the rear bench seat.
This 1976 Ford Bronco model boasts a replacement 5.0-liter Coyote V8 with an aluminum radiator and a conical air filter. Power is delivered to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range twin-stick transfer case.
1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS 454
Next in the lineup is a brilliant 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS 454, which sold for $24,001.The previous owner initially acquired this classic luxury vehicle in 2000 before adding some upgrades.
The exterior of this model was finished in a stunning red under prior ownership in 1997 and is powered by a 454 ci V8 paired with a replacement four-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment features include a 3.42:1 Positraction differential, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and 15” Rally-style wheels.
Additional exterior features of this model include a dual exhaust system, 454 SS and Monte Carlo badging, and chrome trim on the bumpers, rocker panels, wheel arches, and grille. Equipment on this 1970 Chevrolet classic includes power steering, manually-filled rear air shocks, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The interior features front and rear bench seats in black cloth upholstery with a color-coordinated dashboard and carpets. The dash and steering wheel are also trimmed in a classic woodgrain.
Power for this 1970 Chevrolet is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement 700R four-speed automatic transmission, which features a manually selectable overdrive and a TCI Breakaway 2,400-RPM stall torque converter.
1969 Tatra 2-603 II
This unique rear-engined car was originally manufactured in the Czech lands and was only ridden in by high-ranking government party officials in Socialist Czechoslovakia. And the T603 model, in particular, was designed by Tatra in secrecy due to government regulations.
This 1969 model, recently sold at auction for $41,000, was purchased by a seller in Canada in 2015 before it was brought over to the US. It features the last of three styling upgrades that were introduced throughout the run of this model, including a redesigned front fascia.
The previous owner repainted it gray in the 2010s, refitted it with replacement doors, and performed rust repairs, returning the vehicle to its original luster. Upgrades also included a rebuild of the rear-mounted, air-cooled 2.5L V8, and a re-trim of the interior.
The 15” wheels feature red-painted hubcaps and are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall radial tires. The interior is trimmed in a matching red with coordinating door panels, carpeting, and seat belts. Additional features worth noting include chrome bumpers, a split rear window, quarter panel grills, and a black two-spoke steering wheel with a chrome horn ring.
This beauty of a classic car has a unibody construction with four-wheel independent suspension, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, and an engine that was rebuilt with new bearings and tuned to run on unleaded gas.
1.6L-Powered 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint 5-Speed
Another foreign 60s classic, this 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint is a true gem. Originally refurbished in England, it was later sold and imported to the US in 2014. Recently, it sold at auction for $44,000.
The Bertone-styled bodywork on this model was repainted a stunning red and features chrome-finished bumpers and trim, a driver-side mirror, a single exhaust outlet, and quarter wing vent windows.
The wheels are 15” silver alloy with bright hubcaps and are mounted with Pirelli Cinturato tires. The interior cabin features low-back bucket seats upholstered in red vinyl that matches the exterior paint with patterned gray cloth inserts. The dash, door panels, and carpets have also been trimmed in a matching red.
Additional features of this 1962 Alfa Romeo include wind-up windows, a dash-mounted rear-view mirror, a heater, and a fire extinguisher. The two-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation that includes a 220-km/h speedometer, an inset oil pressure gauge, and a combo gauge for oil temp, coolant temp, and fuel level.
Power for this classic car is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement five-speed manual transmission. And the replacement 1.6L inline-four was sourced from a later model Giulia Sprint Speciale.
1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL
Jumping ahead a few years, our last car on the list is a sleek 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL. Sold for $45,000 at the auction, the vehicle was originally acquired in late 2020 following previous registration history in New York and New Hampshire.
This vintage model features a black convertible soft top and removable hardtop that is color-matched to the Anthracite Grey Metallic finish of the exterior paint. Additionally, the exterior features quad headlights, fog lights, bumpers, and chrome-accented trim.
The cab bucket seats are upholstered in gorgeous Palomino leather, along with matching door panels and center console. The dash and console are also trimmed in wood and feature an aftermarket Alpine CD stereo. Additional interior features include electric windows, cruise control, and automatic climate control.
This 80s retro model has silver 15” Gullideckel alloy wheels mounted with Pirelli tires and is equipped with power steering, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, and a fully independent suspension system.
The power in this 1988 Mercedes-Benz comes from a 5.5-liter V8 and is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission and slip differential. The engine was factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 foot-pounds of torque.
