The Ford Motor Company has already kicked off its year-long celebration surrounding Henry Ford’s 150th birthday, and they promise that the rest of this year has some wonderful things in store for Ford fans!
The first part of the celebration has already seen a huge piece of Ford’s history come home, as Bill Ford, Executive Chairman, revealed a purchase he made last October at an auction.
The purchase was none other than the oldest surviving Ford vehicle, an original 1903 Model A, in peak condition. This car is being hailed as a tribute to it’s designer, Henry Ford, and the legacy he left behind with his creativity, ingenuity and determination.
The year-long celebration will include presentations and festivals where visitors can come to “meet” Henry Ford and get a look at the legacy he left behind. People will be able to get an inside look at the life of Henry Ford and how the Ford Motor Company came to be.
