It’s hard to imagine something outdoing the 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray, with all the praise and attention it has garnered over the past year. However, we’re anxious to see how the 2015 model holds up against its predecessor, as early reports look incredibly promising.
The 2015 is replacing some colors, going from the Lime Rock Green Metallic and Cyber Gray Metallic, to all new Shark Gray Metallic and Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic. But even more than colors, the standard 6-speed paddle-shift automatic gearbox is being replaced with an all-new 8-speed box with a 2.41 ratio.
The 2015 will also play host to the OnStar 4G LTE, as well as a new Performance Data and Video Recorder. With all these new additions, we still can’t overlook the new packages this model have as options: the Chrome Badge Package, the Carbon Flash Badge Package, and the Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Package. The additional Z51 Performance Package will be even better than the basic packages, including Performance Exhaust and the 3LT interior Sueded Microfiber-Wrapped Trim Package.
