After the death of Pennsylvania resident, Larry Brown, estate workers discovered a hidden treasure in his garage that will go up for auction later this month.
A 1969 Shelby Mustang GT500 428 Cobra Jet was hiding in his garage, and not only were its whereabouts unknown, but the car has been preserved through the years and is in near-mint condition. With only 8,531 miles on the odometer, it appears this car may not need much more than a good dusting and cleaning job, a few hoses and gaskets replaced, and maybe some new rubber on the tires, but overall, it is almost pristine.
Mr. Brown had no heir, so this car will be sold at a public estate auction by Ron Gillian Auctioneering. If you would like more information on the sale, you can visit Ron Gillian’s auction site. This Cobra came with all the original paperwork and manuals, and appears to have largely original parts and paint. It is expected to sell at auction for well over $100,000.
