If you’ve been a fan of movies for any time at all, you probably remember the iconic Mad Max series starring Mel Gibson. The original 1984 classic turned the Ford XB Falcon Pursuit Special into an instant cult car, celebrated for its appearance in the movies, its speed, and power.
Set for 2015, a reboot of the Mad Max series will released in theaters. Rather than a later-date sequel, this release will be a brand new version of the films, starring Tom Hardy in the role of retired police officer, Max Rockatansky. The new movies were filmed in Namibia, and while they feature the original Ford XB Falcon as the “star” of the movie, the posters and previews are also showing a Mercedes-Benz W123 sedan that has been rebuilt into a truck cab rather than the traditional body-style.
