What you need to know about the conversion to American Modern Insurance Group.

Due to market changes, we began searching for a carrier that would provide a better fit for our collectible auto insurance policyholders. We believe we have found this with the American Modern Insurance Group and are confident that our customers will find the switch to American Modern the right choice for your collector vehicle insurance. To make the transition as easy as possible for you, we have outlined a few of the more common types of questions you may have.

  1. Who is American Modern Insurance Group?
The companies of American Modern provide specialty insurance coverage to more than 1.3 million policyholders in 50 states. American Modern is rated A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best, a leading independent analyst of insurance companies, and has been selected for ten consecutive years as a top 50 property and casualty insurer by Ward Financial Group. We are very proud to offer this insurer’s products to you.
  2. How will rates compare with current ones?
American Modern has worked diligently to offer comparable coverage, at a comparable premium, to that which you have previously enjoyed.
  3. How does the conversion process work?
The transition is a simple three step process. First, you will get a pre-offer letter in the mail that provides an explanation on the move to American Modern. Second, you will receive the official policy offer for insurance coverage. If you choose to purchase the policy, simply pay the premium indicated on the enclosed coupon by the due date. If you choose not to purchase the policy, you will not need to take any action. However, if you choose to not purchase the policy, you will then receive a letter stating that the policy will be cancelled. It is important to note that this cancellation notice is merely a system processed letter and will not negatively affect you in any way. American Modern will not report any customer to the credit bureau for non-payment for not responding to the insurance notices during this conversion.
  4. What payment options does American Modern offer?
American Modern knows that payment flexibility is important to you, so they offer many ways for you to pay your insurance premium.

    • Credit Card or Check
American Modern accepts debit card payments in addition to Discover®, MasterCard®, Visa® and American Express®.
    • EZPay
EZPay is an electronic funds transfer service (EFT), which means that monthly payments are automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account, or credit card.
      • You pick the day of the month (day 1 to 30) that you want the payment withdrawn.
      • EZPay is a safe and accurate form of payment.
      • There are no postage costs associated with EZPay.
    • Installment Payments
American Modern offers 2, 4 and 10-pay options. Not all installment payment options are available for every product.
  5. How will this company handle my claims?
American Modern is proud of their quick, efficient claims service. They settle 3 out of 4 claims within three weeks and speak to almost 75% of customers within 24 hours of receiving the first notice, often the same day.
